I purchased this for grinding coffee beans. I decided on a 99% approval rating before I even ground the first beans this morning because I liked the look and feel, but after grinding today, the grind quality really clinched the last 1%. This one delivers. Not that grinding half a cup of coffee beans takes a lot of time, but I achieved a coarse grind (for French Press) in about 4 seconds. No lifting and tilting the grinder to get a good consistency. Very impressed.Favourite things about this grinder:- Easy to clean! The grind bowl easily twists out of the grinder, making it easy to wash. The housing for the bowl has smooth plastic surfaces, making it easy to wipe out with a cloth.- Larger grind bowl than most coffee grinders, and good grind quality, so I don't have to fill it twice for one pot of coffee and still get a consistent grind.- The grind bowl comes with a little lid, so you can seal up any leftover beans and keep them fresh into the next day.- For $40 CAD, this is a steal. Looks nice, sounds nice, cleans up nice, and doesn't break the bank.
